“ Ok don't let the atmosphere stop you from trying this food!!! The tacos are so good, a flavor bomb with amazing ingredients. The tortillas are fresh & delicious. The owner & his son are super nice & explained the cooking techniques & where the spices come from Mexico. We ate in the market seating area and bought drinks from the market. Definitely check them out! ”

“ Hole in wall taco shop. Very friendly cook. Got the Surf & Turf Fries for $12. Really good, a lot more shrimp than other S&T fries I’ve gotten elsewhere. ”

- Pat Nomad -

“ Excellent food and service. All tacos are perfect not greasy. Try the surf and turf fries it is amazing, the whole family liked it. And the seafood taco ( Mar Y) is the best. ”

- Saad Bourachi -

“ Amazing place! Surprised I stumbled upon it during a stay nearby, the service was friendly, helpful and very patient, there is small indoor limited seating but very cute and resourceful, and the food was AMAZING. Saving to my favorites for a future visit. And inside, there's also a store, which is nice. ”

- Samantha Sanchez -

“ The tacos were so delicious! I ordered green, black and pink al pastor and asada. The green and pink are unique to this location, they are the creation of the chef, I highly recommend trying all of them!, My two personal favorites are the black and green. But the pink is also very tasty. Beware that they have nuts in them. This spot is located inside a grocery store, parking is limited, but don't let that stop you from visiting this amazing place! You won't regret it. ”

“ Legit al pastor tacos right off the trompo! The tacos come loaded with the right flavor, crunch, avocado, and tortillas. They have a variety of salsas and it definitely hits the al pastor spot. ”

“ I see "temporarily closed" and am really sad! Please don't be closed!! Al Pastor Town is THE best place I've found in the area, some of the best Mexican food I've ever had! There are so many great Mexican places around San Diego, I've tried so many, but Al Pastor Town has some of the best flavor and quality I've ever had. I really hope it opens back up soon... ”
